Nissan Stadium - International Stadium Yokohama 横浜国際総合競技場

This is the stadium where two Ronaldo goals won Brazil the World Cup against Germany, and where an awesome defensive performance saw South Africa overcome England to lift the trophy. For matches at Yokohama International Stadium you can stay in Yokohama itself, or really anywhere in central Tokyo. There was a crackdown in with the introduction of new regulations which led to a collapse in the number of listings available and accordingly a jump in prices, with a lot of travellers reporting that their reservations were suddenly cancelled as a result. It was all a bit of a mess at first, but you can be confident that any listings remaining on there at this point are legit. Prices went up unfortunately, but then so did standards, and Airbnb is still my usual go to for accommodation in Japan. For more on IC cards see here. Great Atmospheric stadium but a long 45 minute train ride from Tokyo then 20 minute walk. Not much around stadium and very poor toilet facilities. Had the privilege of watching the rugby World Cup final between the England and the Springboks in what was a truly amazing stadium. Really great facilities with great views of the game. Thank you Japan. Well organised transport system close to the stadium Helpful staff Easy access and egress Good view of the pitch Good services available including food, drink and merchandise. Great venue for the rugby World Cup, good views from the different seats we had, good PA and comfortable seating. The one thing that stopped this stadium being very good was lack of toilets.
